Drive/ guide was excellent. Disappointed with the last hotel we stayed at.

Our driver who also served as a guide was excellent. He was well organized and made sure that we were up on local customs and what might be some concerns for potential issues in specific locations on the trip. Accommodations were great with the exception of the last hotel in Dublin.

Great tour for less active tourists

Excellent guide, nice accommodations. Could have used more active tour, didn’t clearly understand mostly bus tour with little interaction in stops except to buy items

Taste of Ireland

Our tour guide, Martin, was terrific! He made sure we knew everything we needed to and he shared lots of interesting information with us. He went above and beyond by answering all of our questions.

Best TOUR ever!

Absolutely fabulous tour of Scotland with a deeply experienced tour guide and an excellent driver. They really made our trip very special! We will definitely come back to CIE on our next tour!

Overall a very good experience,

Bus driver was exceptionally well versed in local history as well as local establishments, he was very friendly and helpful, the bus itself could use a pillow to pot behind your back need more time at St. Andrews and perhaps option as to whiskey tasting experience. Ladies may like to shop rather than taste whiskey! The woolen mill stop was unnecessary as we had just been to one as was the Irish coffee stop, the hotels were excellent. It was an unforgettable trip,,,

10 day your if Iceland

Everything from beginning to end was perfect. This was our 2nd CIE tour. 1st time was so good we decided to use them again. Your guide was phenomenal, as was our bus driver. Highly recommend CIE tours!

The tour was above and beyond our expectations !

The tour was amazing! Our driver John was outstanding and so informative. Ireland’s countryside is absolutely gorgeous. It was above and beyond our expectations.

Clans & Castles - A Perfect Package for Touring Scotland!

CIE's service was top notch. Everything was well-organized, the transportation was flawless, and the travel around the country was simple. The sites on the tour were fantastic and each day was structured to be full but not exhausting. Rest stops during the drive were just right, and we never felt rushed at any location. Our tour guide, Angela, was very experienced and knowledgeable, and she did a fantastic job of keeping everyone organized. When we go back for another tour, it will be with CIE!

Tour Guide was great

Although we never received our pre-trip package (luggage tags, luggage straps, backpack etc.) our tour guide was great and at least able to give us luggage tags to make sure our bags got transferred properly. He was also an excellent and knowledgeable tour guide.

Great trip. great guide and driver. Issues with Apex Hotel - Grassmarket.

Great itinerary, excellent Guide and Driver, the only problem we had was with the Apex Grassmarket Hotel in Edinburgh, which we had booked (and paid CIE) to stay three extra days. Come the first extra day, and we're locked out of our rooms. I had to put up my AMEX card (with a charge of one cent for each room) so we could get back in. We left on Monday, and on checking out the clerk told me "No worries, the travel agency paid the bill". Upon changing planes later that day in Reykjavik, I find out that the Apex Hotel has charged my card $971.72 (plus foreign exchange fee of $26.23) for each of the two rooms. I've been trying to sort this out through our travel agent that CIE pointed us to, but now I've had to dispute this with AMEX. Not happy.

A perfect family vacation!

Joe Griffin, coach driver/tour director, was great craic! Told us history of the country, told us jokes, sang us songs, but most importantly, was an awesome driver who got us safely to all of our destinations! We had a lovely group of 35 travelers. The food was great, the entertainment was great, the scenery was great, the local tour guides in various cities were great, the itinerary stops were great. Saw many castles and took 3 ferry boat rides and one horse carriage ride. Our family made lots of fun memories. We have 2000 photos to remember our 2023 trip. You should take this tour, too, and make your own memories.

Once in a life time trip.

Aer Lingus airflight was exceptional. Easy to find the CIE representative when we arrived in Dublin. Hotels were 4 star all the way including the food. All of the tour sights were interesting, beautiful and the tour guides were knowledgeable. PJ, our bus driver, was wonderful. It was nice that he was Irish, gave us so much history of Ireland, we couldn't have had anyone better. Also was an excellent driver.
We appreciated CIE working with our travel agency, Burkhalter Travel, and would definitely travel with you again.

Wonderful Ireland Tour

My wife and I made the 12-day CIE Odessa Tour that included Ireland and Northern Ireland. It was a great time, the coach driver was fantastic - informative and entertaining. The overall value of the tour was excellent. There was a very good mix of local excursions like Keane’s Pub, Farmhouse, Sheepdogs, Apple Farm, and naturals wonders like Cliffs of Moher, Giants Causeway and historic sites `-Kylemore Abbey, Blarney and a host of other castles, and the cities - Dublin, Killarney, Galway and others. This tour as a great way to get a broad experience of Ireland and the Irish people - highly recommend it and wouldn’t hesitate to book the 12-day. We even added a couple of days in Dublin on the front end to round it out to two weeks. Great fun and a great experience overall.

Thorough tour of England

The English Odyssey 14-day tour takes you all over England and to many historical and beautiful sites. It is fast paced, but that is the only way to see so much in a such short period of time. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and very good in getting us to places early, before the majority of tourists arrived. The hotel locations were outstanding, within a few minutes of walking to historical downtowns. All the hotels were top-notch with super breakfasts. The bus was comfortable and immaculately clean, and the bus driver was so skilled. This CIE tour provided all it promised.

Wonderful trip aside from some transportation issues

I loved the tour but we had issues with the transportation department, not only with the airline scheduling but also with shuttle service arriving and leaving. We have addressed these issues in another letter.
I would definitely use CIE again if our concerns are addressed favorably.
